Barbell Overhead Press

Shoulders intermediate barbell compound

How to Perform

  1. Step 1: Stand with feet shoulder-width apart, barbell at collarbone.
  2. Step 2: Grip slightly wider than shoulders.
  3. Step 3: Press the bar straight overhead until arms are locked.
  4. Step 4: Lower with control back to the starting position.

Tips

  • Brace your core and squeeze your glutes.
  • Move your head slightly back as the bar passes your face.
  • Do not lean back excessively.
