Lat Pulldown

Back beginner cable compound

How to Perform

  1. Step 1: Sit at a lat pulldown machine, thighs secured under the pad.
  2. Step 2: Grip the bar wider than shoulder-width.
  3. Step 3: Pull the bar down to your upper chest.
  4. Step 4: Squeeze your lats, then slowly return to the top.

Tips

  • Lean back slightly but do not swing.
  • Focus on pulling with your elbows, not your hands.
