High-heat roasting reduces slime and gives great char. Hands-off and consistent. Pan-frying also reduces slime but requires more attention.

Secondary Method STOVETOP

Pan fry med-high 8-10 min.

Pro Tip

Both methods reduce slime. Pan-frying is the Southern tradition. Stewed okra in gumbo is stovetop.
